One of the secretaries warned Veronica that the man she was waiting for had already arrived. She went to the main hall and there she saw the man.
V. - Hello! You should be Mr Mc Bride. I ask you sorry for the wait. -  she said kindly.
When the man turned at her, she saw his face horribly deturped by scars. Despite this he was still a handsome man. She felt a shiver along her spine and a strange sense of warm in her stomach at the same time.
Mr Mc B. - Veronica! Are really you? - he replied with a smile. - I did not know you’re working here. - It took a minute before she realized who she was in front of. She opened her eyes wide open for the surprise.
V. - Oh my God! I’m so sorry I didn’t recognize you, it was so much time… - she tried to say.
Mr Mc B. - Don’t worry, Ver. I know I’m not the same good looking man you’ve met. How are you? - he wasn’t offended, he knew very well the truth and Veronica wasn’t the first person who didn’t recognize him and she wouldn’t have been the last.
