After dinner, he invited Poppy to dance in a cute retrò bar. It had been a pleasant evening and Poppy was really happy to be with him.

P. - I was very good with you tonight, Mr Finnigan! - she whispered.
Mr F. - Please don’t call me like that, it makes me feel old. I mean elder! -
P. - You’re not, but I like to be with a man and not with a boy. You’re so kind and careful with me, Quinn. -
Q. - Because you deserve all of my attention. - his voice was so warm, she loved it and maybe she loved him too.

They’ve met in a big conference of scientists and engineers, the theme was about green energy and new technology. Since the first time Quinn’s eyes saw Poppy, he felt a hole in his stomach. She was so beautiful and sweet, a very smart and determined woman. He was too shy to ask her for a date, but they started texting each other to share work information and talk about the conference’s interviews, later their conversations became more personal. More he knew her and more he wanted to invite her to dine out, but every time he was trying to do it, she started to talk about how she was happy to be single and independent.
One day he had taken courage and sent her a big flower bouquet with a little note: “You are an extraordinary woman, would you like to come to dinner with me?” but he was so agitated that he forgot to sign the note.
Poppy didn’t know who had sent her the flowers, but she told him the fact and said how she was worried to have a sort of stalker. At that point, Quinn had to confess that he had sent flowers to him and forgot to sign the note. He felt so stupid and embarrassed, he told her that he would know if she hadn’t wanted to see him again, but Poppy had found all that situation fun but also so sweet and so she accepted his invite. Since then they started dating more and more often. 

P. - Do you want to stay here for the night? - she asked him.
Q. - I’d like to, but I have to go. Tomorrow I have to wake up early, maybe we can do it the next time. -
