..::Veronica::..
They talked a lot about anything, it was a nice evening for both of them.
V. - Can I ask you what happened to you? I mean… - she stopped, she didn’t want to make him uncomfortable, but she was really curious.
N. - It’s ok! I know what I look like. - he took a deep breath. - I’m so sorry for what I’ve done to you. I was so immature. I pretended to be a man, the right man for you, but I was a stupid boy. -
V. - I don’t need explanations. - she said, but she really wanted to know why he cheated on her with Poppy.
N. - I have to! I was depressed and alone because you were always at work to pay our bills. I felt useless and meaningless. Poppy was there and she helped me a lot, she had found that job with Mr. Branson for me and I was grateful to her. - he sighed - I had a dream about you and about Poppy, I was confused about my feelings for her, but I have no excuses… I went to her apartment to told her that we’d never be seen again and I… I finished to cheated on you with her. - he felt so bad about those memories. - I’m so sorry… I was so sorry! I wanted to leave her, but I was afraid because I knew she would be hurt, but I loved you, I… Anyway I wanted to tell you everything, but I was afraid to hurt you too. That day I was decided to talk to you and leave her once for all. When I went home and I’ve seen my things in those boxes I knew it was over. I had ruined everything and I had lost you. - he took another deep breath.
V. - Noah… - she whispered.
N. - No, please, let me tell you everything. - he stopped her. - I lived with her for a while, she was happy… in the beginning, but things went bad. I loved you and I couldn’t think about anybody else, when she found that out we had a very bad argument. We always quarreled, but that time was different. I had decided to move to Newcrest and I was on the bus to go there when there was a car crash on the bridge, the bus hit the pillar and many other vehicles. I’ve been in a coma for more than two months and when I’ve woke up… - he stared at her, she had a strange expression on her face that he couldn’t decipher. - I had lost everything: my job, my friends, you… I’ve lost my life. I had started a new life in Windeburg and I think I can say that I’m happy. - he didn’t seem happy at all.

Veronica listened to his story, she was shocked and she felt so sad for him. He didn’t deserve all that.
V. - I’m sorry. - she said after a few seconds of silence. - I’m really sorry. You didn’t deserve something like this. -
N. - Don’t be sorry. I deserved it all for what I’ve done to you, to us. I had done terrible things and I’ve paid the price of them. -

She said nothing, she just put her hand on that of him. She wanted to say a lot of things, but that wasn’t the right time. The silence wrapped them like a blanket and so they stayed for a while.
