The two women drank a cup of coffee. Poppy was embarrassed and she didn’t say a word. It took some time before Veronica broke the silence.
V. - I’m sorry to bother you, but I need to know. How really did things go with Noah? -
P. - Oh wow… I-I’m sorry, I should never… - Veronica interrupted her.
V. - I know! That’s not a problem, not anymore. I just… I wanna know why you broke up. -
P. - Uh, ok… Anyway, I’m really sorry for what I’m done. It was a sort of blind crush and… I’m sorry! -she was really sorry, but she was lying, she was fell in love with Noah, that wasn’t a mere “crush”. - He loved you! That’s the reason we broke up. I had thought it could work, but he was always upset, far from me, sad… In his mind, there was only you. We argued a lot about everything and after a few time, I realized that it couldn’t work like that. - she sighed. - He has never been mine. - and that was the truth.
